Why apply to BVIW?
Burton, Van Iersel & Whitney is at home in a high-profile niche of the communications business. Join the 30 editors and translators in our permanent team, either employees or freelance partners, who work together across cultural and national boundaries on equal terms and with mutual respect. All working arrangements are exclusively long term. We do not contract work out on the basis of individual short-term assignments.
Who we’re looking for
We’re always looking for talented editors and translators with a passion for communication and a flair for writing. If you’re motivated to work in a cross-cultural environment that is devoted to international corporate communications, public relations and advertising, and if you have the ability to learn what matters to major companies and organisations and exactly how they communicate that in house and to the wider world, then we want to meet you!
Please state clearly the position that has sparked your interest. We do our best to respond to all enquiries, but if (at first sight) your qualifications and experience are not an ideal match, it may take some time for us to get back to you. The same applies to internship applications. Should you be asked to complete a test translation, this will be remunerated, but time restrictions do not allow us to comment on our appraisal.
Your CV should include a detailed account of professional experience and academic qualifications (grades where relevant), accompanied by recommendations and/or references from employers or clients. A covering letter, outlining your particular strengths and how you perceive we can help you to achieve your professional goals, is very welcome.
Applications in writing only please, to firstname.lastname@example.org. Thank you for considering us!
