Synchronisation

Synchronisation is the coordination of events to operate in unison within a system. In terms of time-keeping, navigation or communication, synchronisation is an important concept for the operation of clocks, efficient shipping, and data transfer. Film synchronisation refers to the unity of image and sound recorded separately to be brought together in the film, so that, for example, the words spoken by an actor perfectly match the movement of the actor’s lips.
